I do feel that choosing a President is much like choosing a friend. They need to be able to articulate the issues of the day, that is a given; sadly, Mr. Trump seems to have issues with this and rather talks about his grievances. My friend needs to be empathic to others, kind in their observations and be willing to help if at all possible. They cannot be rude or disrespectful, yet I would fully expect them to not allow themselves to be disrespected. I know that most of my friends when put in the situation, lead as if others want to follow. These are all things I need in a President.

This has been a very odd year for a Presidential Election. We knew what each man did under pressure of the job. We knew that rather that grappling head on with the pending pandemic, Trump down talked it to the level of the flu and over 1,000,000 Americans died because he waived them of from their own self interests of protecting their health. We have Joe Biden, as the new President in 2021, realized that the Former Guy had no plans for the distribution of the newly manufactured Covid-19 vaccine for 330,000,000 people, and yet by March 17th I had my second vaccine. This isolated year of March 2020, to March of 2021, told me everything I needed to know about the former guy.

And now we have a new twist. Joe Biden in the most Patriotic act I have witnessed from the Oval Office stepped down for the betterment of the country. I see because of that singular decision, young people paying attention to politics. And we need every one of us to be involved and aware. This will the the election that will determine if we stay a Democracy or turn into a Dictatorship. For me, I made this decision in March of 2021, and yes I was sad about Joe bowing out, but there is no way i would ever vote for Donald tRump. Joe Biden has been the best President of my lifetime, I am 73. He and Kamala worked as a team to bring a failing economy back and help the American people with new jobs, better wages, and an infrastructure bill to repair roads and bridges that have long been in need. Too many accomplishments to enumerate here, but I fully expect that Harris and Walz will again show that we are in this to win this for the people.

Sometimes we just have to hear what people say and check that it matches what the do. That old adage that a person’ s word is as good as gold, means just this!
